Rachel Bondi
Role:Founder/CEO
Organization:Men Matter
Location:Seal Beach, CA, working virtually
Website:www.earningpower.org
Mission:People come together at Earning Power to find like-minded individuals who believe that no one succeeds if one gender loses.
Rachel Bondi left Microsoft to form Men Matter, the only online community for men who want to empower women. Men Matter, Earning Power, and the Wealth Gap (some of Rachels’ other endeavors) address the serious issue that women not only have a pay gap, they have a wealth gap that develops over their lifetime, and results in poverty for most elderly women as well as poverty for children. Her community addresses the man crisis and critical need for change while keeping a message that encompasses and adresses both genders.
After leaving Microsoft, Rachel married a man who left her at 40 with a personal bankruptcy of $4 M, 4 children with no child support, and put her and her kids through 4 women's shelters for abuse. Men Matter is her homage to the men who do matter. She did it with less than nothing but for a higher purpose.
Rachel created the groups and wrote her book, The Wealth Gap, while raising twin toddlers on her own. She works in small groups for abused women to help empower them, and with men's recovery groups to help share the message that their choices matter to women, families and society.
